A baby is sunshine and moonbeams and more brightening your world as never before. — Author Unknown

Our valued community member, Olga Kubrak Photography  has previously provided a “how to” tutorial on the milk bath session with a maternity session seen here.  Today we have a gorgeous infant milk bath session from her that with have you running out to try it for yourself!

What We Love:

Olga: The session features Kelley, mom and little Paxton who is now three months old. Over four months ago I submitted a maternity milk bath session of Kelley when she was 8 months pregnant with Paxton and I immediate knew I would want to repeat this shoot again when he arrives!

This is Kelley’s second baby boy and he is absolutely precious. I had the joy of documenting their family long before they were expecting so when they asked me to document their gender reveal I was beyond thrilled for them! Aside from the gender reveal we did two maternity sessions with Kelley, a styled woodsy themed session with a gorgeous plum gown and floral crown and a milk bath session in the comfort of her home. We then followed up with a newborn session for Paxton and then a milk bath session last week when he turned 3 months old! Paxton absolutely loved being in the warm water with his mommy holding him so close. The water absolutely relaxed him and he even dozed off a few times! This is a very special capture for me because it shows the amazing before and after sequence of events for Kelley – being pregnant and documenting maternity in that bath tub and then holding her precious bundle in her arms!

Lisa and Rachel: This is part 2 of the maternity milk bath sessions from Olga.  The original post, that you can find a link to under resources, was a maternity session.  This post is a mommy and me/ infant maternity milk bath session.  We love that Olga has shown us the versatility and creativity that can be done with these milk baths.  They can be done for little cost and create a beautiful image, they are really all the rage right now.  If you give it a try we’d love to see your submission!

Resources: The client sourced the gown and the flowers from a local florist that sells in bulk. We used powder milk and starch for the milk bath and decorated it with the flowers Kelley picked. For more information on how to create a milk bath session click here.

Location: Oceanside, San Diego North County, CA at my client’s home

Gear: Nikon D610 and a 35mm 1.4 Sigma Art Lens.
